There is a district in Eritrea on the Ethiopian border that contains two villages. Because of the "shoot to kill" order of the Eritrean government, the Eritrean military shot and injured a fleeing woman several times (approx. 6 times) at this border. In order to save her, the Ethiopian military had to intervene on the other side of the border to protect the woman. This region of Eritrea is now free from the dictatorial influence of the Eritrean government and has been put under the protection and administration of the Eritrean opposition group DFEU (member of the umbrella organization of the opposition ENCfDC). Today these villages are self-governing through democratically elected committees. These self-governing committees need all possible support.

Our aim is to help the self-government committees to carry out their work in health and education-related projects. Thanks to the Ethiopian government, the children of these villages are allowed to attend an adjacent Ethiopian school. According to this educational program, young children also have to go to kindergarten before they start school visited.

The first educational project called “The Kidergarten Project”, for which we have received a lot of help thanks to our members, is going well so far. We will report regularly and comprehensively on the ongoing work.

The second project is called "The Water Project" and has yet to be started. In order to ensure the health of the two villages to some extent, the supply of clean water in the villages must be secured. We had to find a solution for this. For these reasons we have commissioned a well drilling which will be completed in the near future. In order to obtain clean water and to create an appropriate structure for use, we have invested around 15,000 euros.

In addition, the Eritrean children in the various refugee camps in Ethiopia urgently need help to be able to shape their future better. In addition to food and health, they need education to reduce the flow of refugees and even get a chance in an Eritrea freed from dictatorship. Therefore, our further plan is to support the elementary school that exists as an "Elementary School Project" in the refugee camps. This school needs a lot of teaching materials, enough classrooms and enough teachers to run the school reasonably well.

However, we can only achieve this with your help, so we heartily appeal for your continued help.

Who are we and why we are involved We are committed Germans with and without Eritrean descent who have fought for the welfare of the Eritrean people for years and continue to do so to save the people of Eritrea from emigration.
